The Battle of Palmdale is a solitaire and multiplayer war game set in the Los Angeles area on August 16th, 1956. The US Navy launched a Grumman F6F-5K Target Drone as part of a missile test program and, much to the horror of everyone involved, it veered off course and headed toward Los Angeles. Without other options, the USAF was called to come to the rescue.

Designed by Thomas Van Hare, this is the first war game of the new Aces Series. You fly as the USAF and take up the nation's top fighter interceptor, the F-89 Scorpion, with its famed Mighty Mouse Rockets. In multiplayer mode, you can fly the F6F-5K Target Drone. The task of shooting down the Target Drone is challenging and many of the rockets you fire will fall to the ground below, causing mayhem and destruction!
